Dr. Chih-Wei (Grace) Huang is an Associate Research Fellow at the International Center for Health Information Technology and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Informatics, College of Medical Science & Technology, Taipei Medical University. She holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.B.A. from Taipei Medical University, specializing in Medical Informatics and Healthcare Administration.
Dr. Huang has held significant roles, including Secretary General of the OHDSI Taiwan Chapter, Adjunct Research Fellow at Taipei Medical University's Center for Education in Medical Simulation, and Startup Consultant at TMU SPARK. Her research interests encompass medical artificial intelligence, big data visualization in healthcare, and healthcare information management.
As the principal investigator for various projects, Dr. Huang has focused on personalized health risk prediction and the application of technology in health education. Her publications cover topics ranging from electronic health records to the effects of personalized medicine on health outcomes.
Currently, Dr. Huang serves as the CEO of the Digital Health Translation Academia and Industry Alliance (DHTA), sponsored by the Taiwan's National Science and Technology Council. In this role, she bridges the gap for startups to enhance their commercialization efforts, utilizing resources from TMU, such as the TMU clinical research database and Center for Medical Simulation, for AI model external validation, user research, and human-machine interaction studies for medical devices and software.
